MSE Plasma Waste Treatment Facilities

MSE offers a high-tech facility and equipment for plasma technology projects. Our plasma test facility has been used extensively to support customer testing and treatments, including studies on Army pyrotechnic devices, simulated nuclear waste, offgas emissions testing, and hazardous waste.

The facility itself houses two bays for full scale plasma treatment testing and assembly and a complete fabrication facility that provides electricity, cooling water, offgas clean-up systems, nitrogen and oxygen supplies, and corresponding air quality permits.

Plasma Technology Services

MSE specializes in three distinct market segments: Military ordnance, radioactive waste, and acutely hazardous waste. In our facility, we offer three plasma waste treatment systems that include both fixed and mobile units.

Fixed Plasma Treatment System

MSE's fixed Plasma Treatment System is a full scale unit station in our facility that includes a 1MW, dual mode non-transferred arc and transferred arc torch, advanced wet or dry offgas system, and a fully integrated controls system.

Mobil Plasma Waste Treatment Unit

Our mobile treatment unit provides flexibility and mobility for customers. The mobile unit contains the following:

  • 500KW dual mode non-transferred/transferred arc torch
  • State-of-the-art semi-dry offgas system
  • Skid mounted portable unit
  • Integrated computer based controls and operator interface
